FREAK!wear

"......ready to walk in the dead world of fashion?"

(as a FREAK!)

garments in existence since 2004:

Recyced garments that are ripped apart and hand sewn into FREAK!wear

using  former garments such as suit jackets and pants, jeans, shirts and waistcoats!

"Vivienne Westwood" inspired, interchangeable modules that can then be worn as to the wearers specification

and then becoming  the  FREAK! they always knew they were!

Painted on the garments, as a design, is the story of FREAK! and depending on what garment, (as they are all independent of each other)

they form entire FREAK!outfit, as a different representation of the

independence of freedom of  choice from the huge commercial fashion industry.

The newly launched WIMMINSwear will be sold  from the outlet:

TRIANGE

(next to the LIDO on Victoria Street)

 from

Monday April 17th

FREAK!wimmins uses pants that have been made into skirts Handpainted, bustled with shirts and elastic to tie it all around the figure.

The shirt as a bustle has become a signature for FREAK!wimmins.

In one case, the designer has use a former police shirt with the arms ripped off, gold painted a hill like design as almost a

representation of Mt Victoria and the illegal boardinghouse and the label, also hand painted, as the secret that the situation

has been over the last 34 yrs.

    FREAK!wear / productions / DAVID FREAK

then became the subject of investigation! appearing on TVNZ's 20/20 Thursday 15th sep 2005, taking to the public the reason why there is such a thing as FREAK!.

And this is the REASON that started it all for the designer DAVID ROIL...... launching FREAK! in the faces of those who would know about and remember the death of a Wellington women....on the night of Thursday 6th of January 1972...... MARGARET WALKER..... biological parent of the designer!!!

MARGARET  became the most talked about person at the beginning of that year with her death! as of course in this country at the time POLICE involvement ALWAYS meant racism and who could scratch who's back,  of course MARGARET was a young Maori women, 23, just let out of jail for stealing a wallet (no such thing as a benefit then) and then returned from DUNEDIN taking unawares her contacts, serving 9 months of a 12 month sentence.

The POLICE claim that she "...... let herself into an unlicensed boarding house, nobody was home, ran up the stairs and banged on the doors, no answer, went to leave and then fell down the stairs and died." (another drunk Maori story to get rid of! how many times have we heard that!!!! )

20/20 then contacted people that were at the house that night, David Roil also found official documentation that a Sgt Jack Marshall owned the house was never interviewed by the POLICE  and more importantly THERE WAS NO TIME OF DEATH RECORDED WHATSOEVER in any documentation that is available especially when it was an OFFICIAL  HOMICIDE, When interviewed on the docomentary  the real estate agent that collected the rent from the tenants stated that ...." I find it impossible that nobody was at home that night and Sgt Marshall rang me the morning of the death asking if I could come down to the house and talk to the POLICE as he didn't want to let them know that he was a POLICEMAN!" .

Lots of situations like this then started to "rear its ugly head" and the NZ POLICE have still not given a satisfactory answer to any questions that have arisen from this official case that has most of its evidence DESTROYED by the same investigation. (recorded as a "accidental death", officially)

The designer David Roil, has made numerous inquiries since 1986, more recently ringing the former D.S.I.R., now INDUSTRIAL SERVICES located in PORIRUA, made contact with a lab technician that was working in the lab the day that Margaret's samples were being processed.

David asked : " .....what would have happened to the samples from the the OFFICIAL homicide once the NZ POLICE decided that  MARGARET had alcohol in her system? " on reply the contact said".... they would have been DESTROYED" (along with anything that had her name on it as there is now only a birth cert and a dodgy death cert that is in existence )

MARGARET, it was claimed had 303 millilitres contained in her urine and 374 millilitres in her blood, the result of a "...14HR drinking binge!"  - (the coroners report said that Margaret's bladder was empty!)

David obtained through public records at the NZ ARCHIVES, Wgton, MARGARETS coroners report, that then stated a whole lot more....... that the NZ POLICE will not take into  evidence that prove it was HOMICIDE!

(on the morning of the funeral, Jan 12th 1972, a NZ POLICE official turned up on the doorstep of the relatives of MARGARET not to send their condolences but  to inform them"....... that there wasn't any reason to investigate any further and any questions would be ignored and to not approach the NZ POLICE on the matter again." as quoted by the then 12yr  niece of MARGARET when she was standing on the stairs putting on her cardigan.)

(Official  NZ POLICE letterheaded letter states that: "....they had been tracking your (David's) progress and stated that there was no official record of the investigation of the time as it had been destroyed. (despite that fact the same letter states blood reports, urine reports, that MARGARET was three times the now legal limit to drive?, that all files had been destroyed in this case, YET THIS INFORMATION CAME FROM THE SAME SAID FILES.)

AND LOTS MORE STUFF that is all from the OFFICIAL documentation of the time.

The reason for FREAK! and its involvement in the public is not only to show what is different in the fashion industry and to be a positive influence in society,  but  is to move the official verdict from "accidental death" back to a "homicide", to gain legal rights under New Zealand Law as a New Zealand citizen, at the moment and of course the reason for the verdict that long ago, is that you have no rights as a descendant to investigate a death if they "... did it themselves"!

FREAK! performed on 1 October  2005 at the “Big Kumara Bar", Wellington with the "Jazz Age Show".   A live Variety show was brought to the New Zealand stage for the first time by hosts Svetlana Fullonskiva-Kissoff and FREAK! Productions

The theme was the JAZZ AGE!!!! and people came along in their favourite costume of the 30s Silverscreen or Gangster or Mole and were entertained at the Salon Door by Wellingtons creative Edge.  Floor service was provided by the hot boys from THE INCREDIBLE X-FACTOR who bought patrons their prohibition delights! During the Jazz Age such events were prohibited in public as of course: alcohol was not available and this created an underground, seedy spectacle!  Drinking Bathtub Gin in back alley Juke Joints, speak-easies, machine gun wielding, Zoot suited gangsters driving large expensive cars!!!   SALON FREAK bought back that theme and exhibited Cuba Street's finest Jazz singers, Charleston Dancers, FotoRABia, The Mystic Snake Ladies, Ken Stratton's "LIMBO" with DJs FREEEMAN and SOOTY

SVETLANA FULLONSKIVA-KISSOFF arrived from Berlin after fleeing the Russian Tyranny bringing her Avant Garde one women show!

FREAK! Then had on the 16th dec 2005 our "good to be goth" nite and had everybody around for XMAS and certificate giving, drinks, food and lots of fun rounding off the year with a good time had by all.

     FREAKIN AT THE CEMENTERY :

The official fashion event for this years FRINGE 06, receiving funding from CREATIVE NZ, our 1st event this year taking the public to the SOUNDSHELL at the Wellington botanical gardens.

Attended by 400 in the audience that was treated to the stage performance that is FREAK!

seated on blankets and picnicking, our stage  was in a shape of  a cross, that best showed our ode to the former Wellingtonians that havent been forgotten with the demolition of the heart of the city to sustain the EGO that is the current MAYOR and her HUSBAND.

(funny how the NEW(?) INNERCITY BYPASS is on either side of the FORMER HOTEL TREKKERS that is now being made into appartments, is in the middle of either road that is the bypass (that goes nowhere but the Basin Reserve) and will be connected to said hotel/appartments.

(announced ON RADIO  5th Jan 2005, THE INNERCITY BYPASS, 6th Jan 2005 the new TREKKERS)

LETS GET RID OF HISTORY AND MAKE NEW HISTORY WITH KERRY AND HER MATES!!!!!

(researching this project I found that they justify the whole thing from a 40yr old plan, that sliced through the cemetery moving 3,700 people from their resting place, reports that "...skulls were used as footballs", that there was protests from as far away as NORWAY during this time.)

the reason why David FREAK states this is because

CUBA STREET is FREAK central and is a descendant of the TONKS AND FLYGER FAMILIES. (FOUNDING CITIZENS OF WELLINGTON)

ONSTAGE THAT NIGHT was TRASHE! yellow capes and leotards, CHEERY BOMB vocal artist, ERICA HACKELL DESIGN presenting MINNIE DEAN, video presentation of the 20/20 doco and of course FREAK!menswear and  presenting its first full line of womens wear! on 25 of your favourite FREAKS!

STAY TUNED FOR THE FRINGE 06 AWARDS!
