Juliette's Story Page

About Juliette Freak!

By the time I was about five years old I knew I was a female trapped in a male body.  This conviction grew stronger with every year, and I longed to live as a woman.  In 2001 I had the courage to make this change, and towards the end of that year I started on hormone treatment to feminise my body.

25 January 2002 was a very special day, as it was when I started to live full time as a woman (and have done so ever since).  I've never felt so happy; a smile and laugh much of the time; have become very out-going; and have an increasing number of friends.

Having gender re-assignment (sex change) surgery is very important for me.  It won't make me a woman. I have been one all my life but it will allow my body to be aligned with my mind.  Breast enlargement will be the icing on the cake”.

Most of my working life has been in the government doing administration, property management, and desktop publishing.  After a down-sizing and redundancy, I started doing voluntary work for community organisations.  And still am, as a historian/researcher.

Travel, New Zealand and overseas, has always been one of my loves, as has been photographing places.  My photo collection is now one of the largest held by the Alexander Turnbull Library (National Library of New Zealand).

I really love modelling for Mr Freak.  Being on the catwalk knowing lots of people are looking at me is wonderful.  And so are all the new people I’m meeting in the process.

If you can help me to get my surgeries, that would be fantastic.
